QUIMERIA STUDIO

A space where art became part of the conversation.

Bucharest, Romania · Cultural Meeting Space · 2020

QUIMERIA STUDIO was conceived as a setting for cultural meetings, conferences and workshops. Rather than treating art as a background element, the project placed it at the centre of how people moved through the space, gathered and exchanged ideas.

Conceptiones developed the concept, curated and supplied 16 works by Dan Andrei, and coordinated production, printing and framing. Photography, large-format prints and spatial installations formed one coherent environment in which images and sculptural forms changed the way the rooms were experienced.

Art as a place of encounter

The programme was designed for a space shaped by conversation. During meetings, conferences and workshops, visitors encountered the works not as a separate exhibition but as part of the cultural activity taking place around them.

The photographic works established a visual narrative across the walls, while the installations extended that narrative into the room. Together they gave QUIMERIA STUDIO a distinctive identity without limiting its flexibility as a place for different kinds of gathering.

From the wall into the room

The project combined wall-based photography with installations made from branching natural forms. Their scale and physical presence created changing sightlines, framed the large-format images and encouraged visitors to experience the work from multiple viewpoints.

This dialogue between two-dimensional images and spatial elements made the art programme inseparable from the architecture and from the movement of people through it.

Sixteen works, one visual language

All 16 works were created by Dan Andrei. The selection brought together photographic series, large-format printed works and installations while retaining a consistent visual language across different formats and scales.

Conceptiones coordinated the full delivery: concept, curation, supply, production, printing and framing. The works were created for the space and were not offered for sale.
