Capabilities

Artwork selected, commissioned and produced for interiors

Conceptiones develops and produces artwork for hospitality, commercial and residential interiors. We work with the art consultant, architect, interior designer or client leading the project, contributing at a defined stage or coordinating the agreed artwork package.

Creative decisions are developed alongside material, scale, quantity, programme and budget.

Three ways to bring artwork into a project

Clients and project teams can select an available original, choose an existing museum-quality edition derived from painting, graphic art or photography, or commission work for a particular space. A project may use one route or combine them.

Existing original artworks

Choose a singular original work from our evolving selection of painting, works on paper, photography, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media, subject to availability.

Existing fine art editions

Select museum-quality fine art prints from existing works of painting, graphic art and photography. Editions may be limited, numbered and dated and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity where applicable.

Bespoke commissions

Commission an original artwork or a dedicated photographic series developed in response to the interior concept, spatial context, scale, colour direction and project requirements.

Primary capabilities

Bespoke artwork development

Original artwork developed for the interior

We develop original artwork in response to the interior concept, architecture, material palette and intended atmosphere of the space.

Working from the creative direction established by the art consultant, designer or architect, we can propose artwork that complements the project without competing with its original vision. Each commission may be adapted in scale, colour, subject, medium, material and method of presentation.

Our contribution may include concept development, artist selection, artwork commissioning, material studies, prototypes, production supervision, framing and delivery coordination.

Art production

Creative intent carried into production

We translate approved artwork concepts into resolved physical works. Depending on the brief, this may involve material research, samples, prototypes, specialist fabrication, edition planning, quality review, framing and preparation for delivery.

Production is undertaken with specialist artists, makers, printers, framers and fabrication partners selected according to the requirements of each work. Conceptiones coordinates the creative and production information needed to maintain consistency across individual works and larger artwork programmes.

Limited-edition fine art prints

Museum-quality editions from original artwork

We produce museum-quality fine art prints from original paintings, works on paper, graphic art and photography. Specialist papers, pigment-based printing and strict colour management preserve fine detail, tonal range and the character of the source work.

We print on Hahnemühle, Canson and Awagami papers, using strict colour management and archival-quality materials selected for longevity. The paper is chosen for the surface, colour and tonal character of each artwork.

Fine art printing is particularly useful for hospitality and other projects involving multiple rooms or locations. It retains the quality and authorship of the source artwork while making a consistent artist-led programme more economical to produce at volume.

Prints may be issued as limited, numbered and dated editions and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity where applicable.

Additional capabilities

Commissioned photography

Original photographic work developed for the project

We organise dedicated photographic sessions to create original, project-specific imagery in the visual language requested by the art consultant, architect or interior designer.

The photographic direction may respond to a defined subject, location, narrative, atmosphere or colour palette. Selected images can then be developed and produced as museum-quality fine art prints, including limited and numbered editions where appropriate.

The resulting series is developed for the interior, with its subject, palette, scale and presentation considered as part of the project.

Art sourcing and supply

Existing work selected with purpose

Where an original commission is not required, we source and supply existing artwork from an evolving network of artists and makers. Selection responds to the creative brief, spatial context, scale, availability and approved budget.

When an art consultant is appointed, we work within their direction and do not replace their curatorial role or client relationship.

Artist and maker collaboration

The appropriate practice for each brief

Conceptiones brings together artists, makers and specialist production partners according to the creative and technical requirements of the project. The network spans painting, works on paper, photography, ceramics, sculpture, illustration, mixed media and specialist fabrication.

We coordinate the information needed to connect the selected creative practice with the scale, material, finish, quantity and programme of the interior project.

Technical development

Resolving the work for its intended environment

We develop artwork dimensions, materials, substrates, samples, mounting methods, presentation details and production specifications in relation to the intended space.

Technical development may include prototypes and approval samples where these are appropriate to the medium, quantity and project programme.

Framing & presentation

Presentation considered as part of the artwork

Framing, mounting, passepartout and glazing are developed in relation to the artwork and the interior rather than treated as an afterthought. We coordinate customised solutions with specialist partners, including anti-reflective and museum-grade glazing where requested and appropriate.

Delivery coordination

Artwork prepared for the agreed project programme

We coordinate finished artwork packages around the approved quantities, presentation requirements, packaging and delivery programme. The exact delivery scope is confirmed for each project and does not imply installation coordination or unrestricted worldwide delivery.

A scope defined by the project

The starting point may be an available artwork, an established interior concept, a photographic direction or an open creative brief. We identify the capabilities required and align them with the responsibilities already established within the project team.

The agreed scope may cover a single commissioned artwork, a fine art edition, a photographic series or a coordinated programme across many rooms.
