KULTURAMA Office
A workplace shaped by the culture it supports.
Bucharest, Romania · Cultural Organisation Office · 2018
KULTURAMA is a platform connecting artists, cultural events and art lovers — a place to exhibit, promote and share creative work. Its office needed to express that purpose not through corporate decoration, but through direct and sustained contact with art.
Conceptiones developed the concept, curated and supplied the works, and managed production and framing. Painting, drawing, photography and sculpture were brought together across the historic interior, giving each room a distinct character while maintaining one coherent cultural identity.

Culture as a working environment
For an organisation producing events, art festivals and cultural projects, the office could not be disconnected from the work taking place there. Art became part of the everyday environment: present during planning, meetings, conversations and the development of new ideas.
The result was neither a conventional gallery nor a decorative office scheme. It was a working cultural space in which the organisation's values were visible and tangible.

A collection across disciplines
The programme combined painting, drawing, photography and sculpture by artists represented by Conceptiones. Rather than organising the works as a single uniform display, the curation responded to the character, scale, colour and architectural details of each room.
Artist names are intentionally omitted from this public project narrative. The focus remains on the relationship between the multidisciplinary collection, the historic interior and KULTURAMA's cultural mission.

Contemporary art within a historic interior
Ornamental ceilings, ceramic stoves, tall windows, parquet floors and richly coloured rooms formed an expressive architectural setting. The artwork was placed in dialogue with these existing elements rather than attempting to neutralise them.
The contrast between contemporary works and the historic fabric gave the office its energy: sculpture activated circulation and floor space, while paintings, drawings and photographs established sequences across walls and adjoining rooms.

From curation to finished presentation
Conceptiones coordinated the complete artwork scope: concept, curation, supply, production and framing. This allowed individual works, presentation methods and spatial placement to be considered as one programme rather than as separate purchases.
The works were selected for the office and were not offered for sale. Their role was to establish a lasting cultural identity for the organisation and its working environment.
