Gura Portitei
Bringing the landscape into the hotel—and the artwork home with its guests.
Danube Delta coast, Romania · Hospitality · 2025–2026
Conceptiones conceived and produced a photographic art collection rooted in the landscape where the Danube Delta meets the Black Sea. Following a week of research and dedicated photography, Dan Andrei developed a body of images for the hotel guestrooms.
The ongoing programme comprises 240 framed photographs in two large formats, presented with natural-wood stretchers and frames selected to sit comfortably within the hotel's material language.

A collection made on location
The work began with a one-week photographic session in and around Gura Portitei. The area was documented as a lived landscape rather than a conventional destination campaign. Selected photographs were then edited and adapted to the visual atmosphere of the guestrooms, creating a collection with a shared tone while preserving the specificity of each view.
Two generous print formats—100 × 130 cm and 70 × 90 cm—give the images a clear presence in the rooms. Natural wood was used for the stretchers and frames, connecting the presentation of the photographs with the furniture, textures and relaxed coastal character of the interiors.

From guestrooms to gallery
The project extends beyond interior decoration. Museum-quality editions of the photographs displayed in the rooms can be purchased by guests through the hotel reception. A visitor can live with an image during the stay, discover a personal connection to it and acquire an edition to take that experience home.
This transforms the hotel into an accessible art gallery distributed through its guestrooms. Edition details, availability, price and fulfilment are confirmed through the hotel reception; this case-study page does not function as an online shop.

Production and presentation
Mono Creative Studio produced the prints and natural-wood framing. The production approach was developed to preserve photographic colour and detail at large scale while giving the finished works a warm, material presence appropriate to the hotel environment.
Conceptiones coordinated the collection as a complete system—from research and image-making to selection, adaptation, formats and presentation—so that artwork, room and landscape read as parts of the same experience.
